Community Edu EPK

Bio
Community Education began with Prosper Jones, Mr. Mo’czar, and Moss Man in Memphis, TN. Early years were spent freestyling on porches, at parties, in school, and at work. The underlying concept being that music should be accessible to everyone, everywhere, at any time. The group encouraged everyone to participate no matter the discipline or experience, and several songs were recorded using whatever equipment available.
Community Education continues to work towards collaborative experiences with their musical communities and their audience but has also created their own unique sound, blending Funk/Soul elements with a Hip Hop foundation. The outcome is a fresh take on a classic formula created by blurring the lines between such genres. The style has struck a chord with international audiences and has taken the group to: Local World Tunes 2010 (Germany), Down In The 8th Festival (Budadpest, Hungary), 1Live featured artist of 2008 (Germany), number one album on "Put the Needle On The Record" of WFMU (NYC), CDBaby Editor's Pick of 2008.
The group is currently working on its next project and performing regularly.
